Man V Food

Every region has its own local culture and flavor. One of the best ways for a traveler to immerse him or herself in new destinations is to taste these unique dishes. This taste exploration allows even the strictest of dieters the freedom to indulge. In the new series, Travel Channel's Man v. Food, host Adam Richman sets out to travel the country in search of the best places to do some serious indulging.

Episode 18: Minneapolis

Adam heads to Gasthof zur Gemutlichkeit in Minnesota for a Meterbratwurst challenge, featuring a meter of grilled German bratwurst plus a side of sauerkraut.

Adam heads to North Carolina's Raleigh's Roast Grill where he will attempt to eat down 17 hot dogs in one hour.

Adam heads to Denver to check out the Jack-n-Grill, where he will attempt to eat a five pound breakfast burrito. He also makes stops at the Cherry Cricket and the Buckhorn Exchange, one of the city's oldest restaurants.

Adam heads to San Jose and to SmokeEaters Hot Wings, where he must down 12 wings in 10 minutes which are covered in habanero sauce without any drinks or condiments to cool his mouth. later he stops in at Iguanas Taqueria and Henry's Hi-Life.

Episode 14: St. Louis

Adam heads to St. Louis, and its Crown Candy Kitchen, where he tries to down five 24 ounce malt milkshakes in 30 minutes. Also, he makes stops in Pappy's Smokehouse and Iron Barley.

Episode 13: Los Angeles

Adam heads to Los Angeles, where he visits the Orochon Ramen, where he will attempt to finish a spicy ramen created with 10 different chilies. Then, he stops in the El Tepeyac Cafe for roasted pork tortillas and Phillipe, the original home of the French dip sandwich.

Episode 12: Seattle

Adam heads to Beth's Cafe in Seattle for their 12 egg omelet. He then visits Red Mill Burgers for a sample of their double bacon deluxe with cheese.

Episode 11: Portland

Adam heads to Portland, Oregon and Salvador Molly's for the Great Balls of Fire challenge which consists of eating five haba��ero-chili cheese fritters covered in haba��ero hot sauce. Those who can accomplish the feat receives their name on the Wall of Fame.

Episode 10: New Orleans

Adam travelled to New Orleans to visit Mother's Restaurant for a "Ferdie Special" po' boy sandwich and Deanie's Seafood for barbecued shrimp. This episode's challenge was to finish 15 dozen oysters at Acme Oyster House and join the "15 Dozen Club". Adam succeeded in this challenge as he slurped all 15 dozen oysters. As of the time of the taping in December, only 28 of the 150 people who had attempted this feat had succeeded.

Episode 9: New York

Adam heads back to his hometown of New York City, as he accepts a p'hall curry challenge from the Brick Lane Curry House. He can get his name on the wall at the restaurant's P'hall of Fame list, by eating down an "excruciatingly hot" dish.

Adam heads to Boston to try the famous Challenge Burger at the Eagle's Deli, which contains 5 pounds of beef, 20 slices of cheese and 20 slices of bacon.

Adam heads to the Windy City, Chicago, where he samples the Italian beef sandwiches and deep-dish pizza.

Adam heads to Austin, TX where he samples super-sized doughnuts and authentic Hill Country barbecue. Then, he participates in a contest of creating breakfast tacos.

Adam heads to Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio to host a tailgate party with their fans. He also tests out a burger from a legendary joint, eats at a historic sausage house, and tries the Dagwood challenge, which requires a 2 1/2 pound sandwich to be consumed in under 30 minutes.

Episode 3: Pittsburgh

Adam heads to Pittsburgh and Primanti Brothers Restaurant to test a sandwich they are famous for. Later, he helps with an atomic hot wings contest.
