Things are looking up for The Prom Kings when Geffen Records expresses interest in the band. In a meeting, label president Ron Fair tells Greg, Chris and Whitman that he wants The Prom Kings to record a single for Geffen's consideration. Although Chris leaves the meeting ecstatic, there is one problem. Whitman, longtime friend and the band's only producer to date, is too green to cut these tracks.

It's time for The Prom Kings to get serious, especially since Greg has lined up the head of Geffen Records to attend the band's next gig. The only problem is that half the band quit when Chris ended up in an Arkansas jail and blowing a gig back in Los Angeles. With pressure on Chris to pull his act together, Greg assures Whitman that he will find new members before the showcase.

Going Home

Responding to the disturbing call from Chris in an Arkansas jail, Greg immediately flies home to bail out his brother ... again. This time Chris faces a serious charge of aggravated assault and possibly prison time. On top of that, the boys must face their parents -- their father, the Reverend Carney, and devout Southern Baptist mother -- whose views contrast sharply to the liberal morality their sons have been enjoying in Hollywood.
