Children of Earth: Day Five

The government goes ahead with their plan to give 10% of the children to the 456. The 456 reveal why they want the children. Jack and Gwen realise that there is nothing they can do to stop what is happening. Jack is held in custody as Gwen is allowed to return to Wales to tell Ianto's family that he is dead. The Prime Minister shocks Frobisher when he tells him that his children will be part of the sacrifice so it will look like the government are innocent in what is happening. Frobisher ends up murdering his family and then turns the gun on himself. Gwen attempts to stop Ianto sister's children from being taken. Jack's daughter manages to persuade the hit squad to help Jack escape so that he can stop what is going on. Jack is forced to sacrifice his own grandson to save the rest of the children from the 456 and destroy them in the process. Jack decides to leave planet Earth so that nobody else that he cares for gets hurt.
Episode 4
Children of Earth: Day Four

Jack explains to the rest of the team what happened in 1965 and why he had to hand the children over. It is revealed that Clement was one of the children that was going to be handed over. Frobisher tries to find out what will happen to the children if they are handed over to the 456. The 456 announce that if their demands aren't met then the whole of the human race will be wiped out. With Lois' continued help the team find out what the world's leaders are going to do about the 456's demands and how the children that will be handed over will be selected. Lois tells the world leaders that Torchwood knows everything that has been discussed and if they are not let into the building then the rest of the world will be informed about what is really going on. The 456 are confronted by Jack and Ianto who insist that not one child will be handed over. Jack continues that unless the 456 leave the planet then the world's humans will be told the truth about what is happening and they will fight to the death to defend their children. The 456 refuse to leave the planet and unleash a deadly virus in the building. Ianto is overcome by the virus and dies in Jack's arms. The world leaders realise they have no choice but to continue to give into the 456's demands.
Episode 3
Children of Earth: Day Three

The Torchwood team are forced to set up a new temporary base and are forced to break the law to get the things they need. Gwen turns to Lois for more help in the quest to discover what is going on. Jack's daughter and grandson's lives are endangered when they are taken captive by the hit squad. The children of the world all point towards London and a huge pillar of fire is directed towards the capital. The children then announce the words 'we are here'. Mr Frobisher tries to negotiate with the alien threat and find out what they want. Jack discovers why Frobisher wants him dead and learns that he has his daughter and grandson. With Lois' help the team manage to find out more about what is going on. The 456 announce that they want 10% of the children on the planet. Clement remembers that Jack was there in 1965 and gave the 456 children then.
Episode 2
Children of Earth: Day Two

Gwen and Ianto find themselves having to go into hiding to avoid the government squad's action against them and their respective families. Both Gwen and Ianto are worried about what has happened to Jack. Jack's body is recovered by the hit squad and he starts to regenerate. As Gwen and Rhys make their way to London she informs him about the baby she is carrying. The children of the world all stop and chant the words 'we are coming tomorrow'. Gwen talks to Lois Habiba on the phone when she calls the government offices. Lois meets with Gwen and tells her that her boss is responsible for the attack on the Torchwood team and tells her what else she knows. To stop Jack from trying to escape his body is covered in cement. Lois tries to help Gwen get into the military complex where Jack is being held. With Ianto's help they are able to rescue Jack and free him from his concrete tomb. The government await the 456's arrival.

Children of Earth: Day One

The Torchwood team are placed in mortal danger when they investigate a mysterious signal that is reaching out hypnotically to lure in vast groups of helpless children. Dr Rupesh PatanjaliIt becomes involved with the Torchwood team after an encounter with Jack and Ianto. It soon becomes apparent that the government are involved with the 456 and know what is going on. Jack and Ianto visit their respective families as Gwen heads to East Grimstead to speak to an adult who has been affected by what has been going on. After managing to gain Jack's trust it is revealed that Rupesh is working for the enemy and Jack is shot. After recovering Jack discovers that Rupesh has been murdered. Gwen discovers that she is pregnant. When the Torchwood base is attacked Gwen and Ianto are forced to flee leaving Jack behind.
