Dumont Dunes, CA

The crew visits Dumont Dunes, California on the second of six stops they will make over two weeks throughout the desert southwest. Dumont, which is known for it's large steep Dunes and scenic backdrops, is a lesser visited riding area but still legendary to many in the riding community. Joining the boys at this stop is female rider Tarah Gieger who does not disappoint. Tarah, a staple on the female racing circuit, takes a break from her busy schedule and flies across the country for a 24-hour opportunity to session with some of the best natural terrain riders in the world. However, wind remains a serious issue. Renner is worried about the weather and the danger that the wind creates. Drama ensues and it becomes questionable if any riding will happen in Dumont or if the team will decide to push onto the next stop of the tour.

Season two of The Great Ride Open begins. Join Ronnie Renner, Drake McElroy, Tommy Clowers, and young gun Lance Coury as they embark on a 3,500-mile FMX freeriding odyssey. Episode 1 begins with the packing in San Diego and culminates at the first stop of the tour, which is legendary Gordon's Well, California. In transit to Gordon's, more is learned of the athletes and the other locations they will be visiting throughout the series. The sand dunes are constantly changing so riding here is always new. Gordon's does not disappoint but a wind issue develops that will follow them for several more days.

Green River

This time to the state of Utah that has many beautiful locations that offer unbelievable riding with the incredible backdrops of Green River, Utah. Enjoy the ride, as the action never stops. The boys search for new terrain and continue to up the ante. Renner puts his own mark on the Green Thumb & Clowers finds a huge new step up.

It's time for the TGR & the freestyle moto crew to leave the Imperial Valley and move north to a little known area outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. This terrain is on native land and the team will need to be granted access by the local tribe. It is an opportunity to ride in a new area that is off limits to most others. Untapped and unexplored the mission has truly moved into the recon phase. Here they find tons of big doubles and hips everywhere. It didn't take too long for half of the local Navajo tribe to stop by and say "what's up?". Back in Flagstaff word spreads of a new location near the little town of Big Water, Utah. So the traveling circus decides to take a chance another untapped location that proves worthy.

Superstition

One more stop for the entourage in the Imperial Valley. The TGR crew & riders are bound and determined to find and conquer the legendary freeride spot - Superstition. Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, there is a small OHV area located not far from the California/Mexico border, just a hair southwest of the Salton Sea. Somewhere between military practice bombing targets is a mecca of steep, abrupt cliffs and mudhills akin to the infamous hits of the more popular Ocotillo Wells area. The spot is epic, and our trip to the almost mythical Superstition Mountain had paid off big.

The crew will start in San Diego and head south to Imperial Valley, California. This is the heart of the California Desert with many known and unknown riding zones to be found. The caravan will depart from Jeff Tilton's house in Lakeside California and move to the sand dunes of Glamis. The Glamis sand dunes are a famous location, some of it has been ridden a lot and some that is pretty much unexplored. The sand dunes are constantly changing so riding here is always new. Location: Glamis, CA. Athletes: Ronnie Renner, Tommy Clowers, Drake McElroy, Matt Buyten, Jeff Tilton & Dane Herron.
