The Cosby Show
The Cosby Show was a popular sitcom which focused on the Huxtable family, an upper-middle class African-American family living in a brownstone in Brooklyn Heights, New York. The patriarch was Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable, an obstetrician. The matriarch was his wife, attorney Clair (Hanks) Huxtable. Despite its comedic tone, the show sometimes involved serious subjects, such as son Theo's experiences dealing with dyslexia, inspired by Cosby's child Ennis, who was also dyslexic.

Meanwhile, Vanessa is just about to leave on a skating date with Tyrone when she encounters a problem, at the last minute one of Russell's army buddy's handsome grandson shows up. Also, Theo loses a date with a girl when he takes Cockroach's advice.

When two of the most popular girls in school come over to Vanessa's house and find out that she has an $11,000.00 painting hanging over her fireplace, they spread rumors around the school that she is a stuck-up rich girl, and Vanessa decides it would be better if they were poor. Meanwhile, Clair is afraid that Cliff will buy too many things when he goes to the hardware store to buy a new TV remote. So she decides to call the owner, one of her old friends, and ask him to refuse to sell anything to Cliff except for the remote. Also, when Theo teaches Rudy how to play checkers, and she beats him very quickly, he decides to play a trick on Cliff.
