The Colbert Report

The Colbert Report
Following the success of The Daily Show comes The Colbert Report (the Ts are silent in both “Colbert” and “Report”), a parody of egocentric, personality-driven political pundit programs (The O’Reilly Factor, anyone?). Former Daily Show correspondent Stephen Colbert hosts a wide series of guests, including entertainers, authors, politicians, and more. The Colbert Report has been nominated for a number of awards and is responsible for popularizing the term “truthiness”, named Merriam-Webster’s 2006 Word of the Year. The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart is among the show’s executive producers.
