Power Rangers in Space (often abbreviated as PRIS or referred to as In Space) is a part of the Power Rangers franchise. It is loosely based on the Japanese show Denji Sentai Megaranger. In Space brings closure to six seasons of plot, and it ends the practice of having regular cast members in consecutive seasons. The theme of the series bears little similarity to its Sentai counterpart and its successor, Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy. The show focuses on themes of technology and space exploration. Though its initial aura is similar to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers has a darker, more emotional turn.
