Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica is a reality series that follows boy band star Nick Lachey (98 Degrees) and singer/actress Jessica Simpson (Dukes of Hazard) as they begin a life together as newlyweds. The stars try to nurture their relationship while maintaining the chaos of their celebrity. The show struck an instant chord with MTV viewers, who weren't altogether sure whether the wife's sporadic cultural unawareness (a.k.a. wondering if tuna brand Chicken of the Sea was fish or chicken) was a put-on.
