Mouse is feeling a bit down after the last caper, so to cheer himself up, he's going to his private resort. There is another of his assistants there, Morijima Samasa. Unfortunately, Samasa is a bit of a klutz. The other girls get jealous of Mouse lavishing attention on Samasa. The girls scheme to get their Master to themselves. The result is that it only makes him more tired from running away from them. In running away, Mouse goes back to town, where Machiko is waiting for him. She wants him to kiss her. In running away from her, Mouse runs into One again. Contrary to what he expects, One does not attack him. One instead gets Mouse stinking drunk. At home, Mouse then calls the girls in to serve him. The next day, he shares a bath with the girls. He then tells them that he steals for the romance, not the money.

Never Gives Up

Just as the fake Yayoi and Hazuki attack Mouse, he activates a device that sends an electric shock through their costumes, knocking them down. One returns the real Hazuki and Yayoi to Mouse. Mouse is forced to return the Heaven's Clock to One. One then binds Mouse and his assistants with "the string that can't be broken." Lt. Onizuka steps out of the shadows and then Mouse makes his move. Machiko escapes as she knocks away One's assistants. This distraction provides the opportunity Mouse needs to gain an advantage. One tries to get away with the clock, but Mouse goes after him. An accident involving a tanker truck ensues. It is reported that One has died. At school the next day, Machiko realizes that Sorata is Mouse.
Episode 10
The Man Who Cheats Death

Lt. Onizuka has set a trap for Mouse. To get the clock, he poses as a policeman and affixes a mouse logo on the back of the clock just after it stops. Then his assistants enter, attired as policewomen. While the police scramble, Mouse tells them that he knew the clock would stop today. However, the room gets sealed with Mouse trapped inside. One has caught Mouse. Mouse recognizes One as a man his father had killed. We then find out that Yayoi and Hazuki are not what they seem, and are working for One.
Episode 9
His Name is "One"

One, a member of a powerful organization known as the Force, is ordered to eliminate Mouse once and for all. Mouse's next target is the Heaven's Clock, a clock that keeps accurate time for all eternity. Hazuki is jogging outside, when she is attacked by a mysterious woman. Then Yayoi is attacked by another mysterious woman. Both are subdued and taken away. We then find out the women that attacked Yayoi and Hazuki work for One.

A Sweet Awakening--A Miracle Herb

Mouse is having trouble getting into the pharmaceutical company. He and his team conclude that the only way to succeed in this caper will be to get someone on the "inside." Mei tries to get Yayoi to help them out. Yayoi doesn't notice that Mei has switched computers with her. Yayoi unwittingly allows a virus to enter the security system. A fire is started and Yayoi tries to save the Rainbow Grass. In the process, she becomes trapped, only to be rescued by Mouse. Yayoi falls in love with Mouse. They escape together.

The Man-Hating Co-Ed

This episode is a flashback. In her early college days, Yayoi was very afraid of men. This is primarily due to her becoming aroused so easily, and her guilt over it. She was a pharmacology major at a university, and Mei was her friend. Yayoi was assigned to study a very rare fungus known as Rainbow Grass. Mouse plans to steal it. As fate would have it, one evening, when Yayoi was walking back from her studies, she heard some noises in the bushes. Upon investigating, she found Mei and Mouse making out.

Mei, Yayoi, and Hazuki are introduced as servants to Muon Sorata, aka "Mouse." The detective in pursuit of Sorata is seen on television "insulting the name of Mouse" and he challenges Mouse to steal the newly built Odaiba Tower.
