Moo's floating castle appears and blocks Genki and the gang's path. The gang's attacks on Moo are useless. In the end Holly is kidnapped and is taken inside the castle.

Genki and the gang discover a Mystery Disc. When they set it on the monster gate of a temple, Monolith appears and begins telling them the history of Monster Rancher in ancient times.

Genki and Mocchi head for North Town. They save the humans from the prison cave, but the Baddies show up, and a fierce monster battle ensues.

The plane breaks down, and Genki and the gang are forced to land in an area ruled by the Baddies. There they find out that the humans are being enslaved into mining the ruins.

Genki and the gang arrive at a huge canyon called the "Heaven's Canyon." An old plane approaches them, carrying a man named Eddy from the other side of the canyon.

Genki is back in his world, feeling lonely, and then wakes up. While Genki is telling his gang about his dream, he begins to think about Holly's past. Then, in the rain, Holly shares her story.

Genki and the gang come to a beautiful valley with a small village at the foot of a dam. When Moo's troops damage the dam, the gang must first fight off the Baddies before working to prevent the village from being washed away.

When Genki and the gang run out of money, Tiger enters a tounament hoping to win the cash prize. In the final round, however, he is defeated by Hare's "Fart Attack." Later, Hare offers to buy the gang dinner.

A group of bandits led by Tiger of the Wind robs Genki and the gang of their Magic Stone. When the bandits return to their hideout they are attacked by the Baddies, and Tiger's brother is kidnapped.

Upon defeating the Baddies Genki and the gang obtain a new Mystery Disc. It is, however, quickly stolen by a boy named Alan. Genki and Mocchi run after him but find they need to fight his monster, Worm, first.

Genki and the gang come to a creepy castle in a forest. Inside they find Golem, a giant but gentle rock monster who protects the graves of dead monsters.

Genki and the gang arrive in a town, where a kind elderly couple invites them into their home. Genki, suddenly realizing the dangers ahead, asks if the couple can take Mocchi in. Mocchi, however, resists and runs away.
