Now on psychiatric leave from the San Francisco Police Department and working as a freelance detective/ consultant on difficult cases, Monk hopes to convince his former boss, Captain Leland Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), to allow him to return to the force. Stottlemeyer, who wavered between admiration for Monk and annoyance at his eccentricities during the first season, is becoming more of a friend to Monk as the series develops. However, he knows Monk's limitations as well as his strengths and may still harbor doubts about the wisdom of allowing Monk to carry a gun or subdue a perpetrator. Stottlemeyer's second-in-command, Lieutenant Randall Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford), also seems to be developing both admiration and compassion for the man he once labeled "the defective detective."

Watch Full Episodes of Monk Online

Season 9 Episode 3

Monk : Season 9 Episode 3

Mr. Monk and Sharona

Monk - Mr. Monk and Sharona

Mr. Monk and the Badge

Monk - Mr. Monk and the Badge

Mr. Monk is the Best Man

Monk - Mr. Monk is the Best Man

Mr. Monk and the Dog

Monk reluctantly adopts a dog while looking into the suspicious disappearance of its owner.

Mr. Monk and Sharona

When Sharona returns to San Francisco to handle legal issues related to an uncle's death, Monk suspects foul play and finds himself torn between the differing styles of Sharona and Natalie.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Monk

Natalie tries to throw a surprise birthday party for Monk while he investigates the mysterious death of an office building's maintenance man.

Mr. Monk Goes to Group Therapy

When Monk's HMO cuts him off, he is forced to join Dr. Bell's group sessions, where someone seems to be killing the patients.

Mr. Monk And The Voodoo Curse

Three San Franciscans die and it's discovered that postmarked voodoo dolls were sent to them several days before their deaths.
