Everybody Loves Raymond
Comedian Ray Romano was introduced to television with Everybody Loves Raymond , a sitcom based on his stand-up routine. Everybody Loves Raymond follows Raymond Barone, a Long Island sportswriter, and his family - including wife Debra (Patricia Heaton), their daughter Ally (Madylin Sweeten), and their identical twin sons Michael (Sullivan Sweeten)and Geoffrey (Sawyer Sweeten). Raymond's intrusive parents, Marie and Frank, and brother Robert, live (in)conveniently across the street and do their best to butt in on a regular basis. Romano and costars Patricia Heaton, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle and Brad Garrett scored eight Emmy wins among them.

During the surgery when Marie is in the bathroom, the nurse tells the family that Ray is not waking up from the anesthesia. He is okay after all, and the show ends with the family eating at the kitchen table together.
