This Jack Webb-produced drama following the adventures of paramedics Roy DeSoto and Johnny Gage who workfor the Los Angeles County Fire Department's Squad 51. " Emergency! " features Gage (a young ladies' man), DeSoto (a devoted husband and father), the fellow firefighters of Squad 51, and the emergency staff of Rampart Hospital. Each episode saw Gage and DeSoto (or sometimes, everyone at Squad 51) respond to several incidents, ranging from routine and humorous to major emergencies. A typical show might feature an obese woman struggling to remove her girdle, a man trapped in his new car with an angry lion in the back seat, a teenage girl who overdosed on dieting pills and a major explosion involving toxic chemicals at a nearby plant. Stars Randolph Mantooth, Kevin Tighe, Julie London, Bobby Troup, Robert Fuller, and more.

    As a result of this show and the events that happened to me 25 years ago, I am serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the states of Florida, Tennesee and Kentucky. Twenty Five years ago, when I was a student in high school I was in the path od some kids destructive behavior and as a result of his destructive path he decided to try and ends someones life as he wanted to end his at the same time. I was stabbed 15 times by this kid. I was resuscitated three times before the paramedics can stabilize me. Once I was stabilized, the paramedic held my hand and said maam, you are not dying on my shift today and furthermore, you will impact the hearts of many whom have and will experience the same challenge you went through. I had no idea what he meant, but 25 years later, I do now. There is nothing more I desire than to help those in the pre-hospital field. My life investments are in humanity and not in financial gain. If I can be a part of someones life, whether one more day, one more month, or one more year I am happy. To my extended EMS/Firefighter brothers and sisters, I love you all. Dina from Tennessee

    One of my favorites growing-up. It would be great if Blinkx would add the pilot episode where L.A county starts the paramedic program. It would also be fantastic if the episodes from the remaining seasons were added.
