Coupling UK
The antics of several friends that find themselves in various forms of couplings (with each other, with others). A British comedy that inspired a US version (that flopped). Susan and Steve are a couple, and Sally, Jane, and Patrick join the gang as friends of Susan (and then Steve), while Steve pulls in Jeff (who is also Susan's office mate, and past date).

Patrick's love of filming his sexual partners is discovered when by Jane. Rather quickly this knowedge comes to the attention of the entire group. There are all sorts of concerns -- Susan that Patrick has video of her, Steve that Patrick can watch Susan have sex, Jeff that he's missing something, and so on. As everyone comes by to do something with regards to the video of Patrick and Susan (see it, destroy it, confiscate it, etc.), the situation gets more and more out of hand.

A very attractive girl is spotted in the bar, and Jeff risks all to speak with her. Fortunately (or unfortunately...), the woman does not speak English, and Jeff doesn't speak or even recognize whatever language the woman does speak. Jeff takes advantage of the situation to utter some words he wouldn't otherwise intentionally use in a conversation (but which Jeff, being Jeff, usually has to guard himself carefully to avoid, often unsuccessfully), while inadvertently giving the girl the strong impression that Jeff likes her rather plain female friend, who is stuck doing some interpretation for them, but is only around part of the time..

Susan holds a dinner party that includes all the normal gang (Patrick, Sally, Jeff, Steve, Susan, Jane) plus Jane's psychologist Jill (though the others don't realize that she is a psychologist and not a lesbian "partner" of Jane's, and Patrick's attire makes Jill think that he's gay). Right before the party Susan finds one of Steves porno tapes, Lesbian Spank Inferno . During the dinner the conversation turns to the concept of erotic movies and how most of the woman don't think pornos like Lesbian Spank Inferno are actually erotic. Steve delivers a major speech on the topic.

Susan and Steve go on their first real date (without all the friends), which will involve Susan cooking for Steve. The men argue over whether or not this means that Susan intended that to mean that sex would be included. Meanwhile, Steve is somewhat anxious over a particular comment of Susans. Apparently Patrick is rather large, and this particular fact, combined with the fact that Patrick and Susan used to be an item, and that Steve isn't exactly overly-endowed himself causes a certain amount of fear in Steve's mind.

Meanwhile, Patrick is trying to dump Susan, but Susan is confused as she didn't realize they were actually going out. While "breaking up" with Jane, Steve asks Susan out and she accepts. How will their first date go?
