Kang Gun Woo (played by acclaimed actor Kim Myung Min) is a world-renowned conductor who is also every musician's worst nightmare. However, no one can deny his talent, not even civil servant Du Ru Mi (Lee Ji Ah), who used to be a violinist. When she organizes a concert for her city, she hires Kang to conduct a bunch of amateur musicians and to turn them into a professional orchestra. A young police officer also named Kang Gun Woo (Jang Geun Suk) joins when everyone realizes that he is a musical genius, and he develops a rivalry, both on the professional and personal level, with the elder Kang, similar to that of Mozart and Salieri. This award-winning drama, both on the international and domestic stage, turned all of the actors into instant stars.
