Army Wives
Army Wives tells the story of four women and one man who are brought together by their common bond – they all have enlisted spouses. The series is based on the book, Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives , by Tanya Biank. Characters Roxy (Sally Pressman), Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney), Denise (Catherine Bell), Joan (Wendy Davis) and Pamela (Brigid Brannagh) face all sorts of challenges trying to fit in, stay connected to their soldier spouses and abide by strict military traditions.

Denise’s sisters, Beth and Suzanne, come for a visit and Denise finds herself in the middle of their constant bickering. Trevor’s unit finds itself in a dangerous situation. In the homestretch of her pregnancy, Denise is uncomfortable and unable to sleep due to the stress of Frank and Jeremy being overseas.

Claudia Joy learns that Amber went AWOL and missed her deployment but that Grant Chandler (Guest star Harry Hamlin) has taken the case hoping to take the Army to trial. In Afghanistan, Jeremy is smitten by a nurse after they both attend a group therapy session.

Joan is stuck overseas but that doesn’t stop Roland from to finding a way make sure she feels loved and appreciated for the special day.

The confrontation leaves Claudia Joy in the middle, between Michael's urging to cut ties with Hannah in order to protect the Army's image and her desire to help her close friend find out if Derrick died as a result of friendly fire. Roxy stresses over her marriage when her sex life with Trevor comes to a complete halt. Roland feels guilty about his affair but decides to keep it a secret from Joan.

Meanwhile, psychiatrist Roland Burton is trying hard to reconnect with his wife, Lt. Col. Joan Burton, who has just returned from Afghanistan. Then there's Denise Sherwood, who is dealing with her son Jeremy's anger-management issues as her strict husband, Maj. Frank Sherwood, is about to be deployed. The unlikely group bonds when Pamela unexpectedly goes into labor at Claudia Joy's wives' tea party.
