Amos 'n' Andy
TV's first all-black cast starred in this 1950s sitcom based on the long-running radio show about the misadventures of a conniving lawyer, George "Kingfish" Stevens, and his slow-witted friend, Andy Brown. The series stirred up controversy over the years, as many - including civil-rights leaders - protested against what they said were offensive racial stereotypes.
