American Idol
This hit FOX musical reality series follows three judges, Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson (II) and Paula Abdul, along with host Ryan Seacrest around the United States in search of the next American Idol , a pop star who truly shines above all the rest. With help from the viewers, they will decide from thousands of participants who will walk away with a record deal and the fame and fortune that are sure to come along with it. This is the American version of UK's Pop Idol, where Simon Cowell is also a judge.

The contestants then got into groups of three, and had to sing a song with a semi-famous singer, and more contestants were cut. Finally, the judges dived the aspiring singers into three different rooms - two which would make up the 32 that would move on, and one room which would mark the end of the road.
