8 Out of 10 Cats is an irreverent comedy panel show originally broadcast on Channel 4. It is hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr and features team captains Sean Lock and Jason Manford. Every week the captains are joined by two celebrities from the likes of David Walliams and Alan Carr. Often celebrities who are currently topical appear on the show, for example Ruth Badger following her appearance on the Apprentice. The contestants are asked questions about consumer polls on a wide range of topics, from the topical and the unusual to showbiz and the ridiculous. The result is an irreverent, irrelevant, revealing, knockabout half hour as two regular teams of fearless, hard-hitting analysts compete to see who best understands what's really going on in today's Britain.
