When a sly magician (Cheech Marin) casts a spell so that he can buy Goldy, the last of the Golden Bears, Jesse runs away with her pet. Hiding deep in the heart of a Dark Forest, the youngster meets a "Ghostman" (Mr. T) with mysterious powers and the belief that all animals should be free. There's magic in the air as Jesse faces the most difficult choice of her life: to keep Goldy or return her to the wild.
