Mac and Mel help the alien with one close encounter after another, keeping his identity hidden from their father (Judge Reinhold, The Santa Clause), a bumbling deputy (Richard Moll, Night Court), and a government agent (Joanna Pacula, Tombstone) while they try to understand what the alien wants.
